Amateur Radio by OH1MAC
Since earning his HAM license in January 2021, OH1MAC has evolved from SDR-DX listener to fully-equipped radio amateur, running a remote shack hundreds of kilometres from his city flat.
His setup includes multiple SDR receivers, a tower of antennas (long-wires, active loops, a 40 m “Loop-on-Ground”, vertical whips, etc.), and remote-controlled transceiver gear — all optimized for quiet but powerful reception and transmission.
For him amateur radio isn’t just a hobby: it’s a craft. From thoughtful antenna design and grounding to remote automation and station safety, OH1MAC treats every broadcast as an exercise in precision, patience, and respect for radio tradition.
